USES: This medication is a painkiller and a sedative. It helps to alleviate
moderate to moderate pain and tension headaches.
HOW TO USE:How to use for preventing stomach upset, take Fioricet along when you
eat food or drink milk. The most effective pain medications are those that focus on the prevention of pain
before it begins.
SIDE EFFECTS: Fioricet may cause lightheadedness dizziness, drowsiness nausea,
stomach upset, and sleep disturbances during the first few days as your body adapts to the medicine.
If these symptoms continue or become uncomfortable, consult your physician. Contact your doctor
immediately if you notice an irregular or rapid heartbeat.
A reaction that is allergic to this medication is extremely unlikely however, you should seek medical
attention if you experience one. The symptoms that indicate an allergic reaction are itching, rash,

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Inform your doctor about all prescription and nonprescription

diazepam) and narcotic painkillers (e.g. codeine) and psychiatric medications (e.g. Phenothiazines like
chlorpromazine, or tricyclics, such as amitriptyline) and anti-seizure medications (e.g. carbamazepine,
for instance) as well as antihistamines, and muscle relaxants that induce the feeling of drowsiness (e.g.
diphenhydramine, for instance).
Since this medication is acetaminophen-based, you should consult your physician or pharmacist before
taking any other medication containing Acetaminophen, which is typically used in nonprescription
pain-relieving medications and cough and cold products.
Be sure to read the labels carefully and verify the ingredients. This drug could affect effective birth
pills for control. Consider discussing alternative methods for birth control with your physician.
Do not take or stop taking any medication without the approval of your pharmacist or doctor.
PRECAUTIONS: Inform your doctor about any medical conditions, preferably severe
liver problemsand alcohol or narcotic dependency mental or emotional disorders, heart disease (arrhythmias
and recent MI) stomach ulcers or intestinal ulcers, and any allergies.
Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Alcohol consumption particularly when it is coupled with
